About Us

Gandy Printers was founded in 1970 by Bernie Gandy, Jr. The company began as a single man operation running one and 2 color work on a duplicator. As time went on, employees and larger presses were added. Services such as full color printing, folding, saddle stitching, perfect binding, foil stamping, embossing, and die cutting were added as well. In 1980 Gandy Printers' current facility was built to accommodate growth. The company moved into the 40" market with the introduction of 40" 6 color and 2 color presses. Most recently, having noticed the market trend towards shorter run lengths and tighter turn times, the company has also invested in digital presses and wide format printing equipment, giving them the ability to produce a wide variety of jobs and products, from very large to very small.

Bernie's wife and children came to work in the business throughout the years, each working in various areas of production, and each finding their way to their current positions. Bernie Jr.'s son, Bernie III, is now president of the business. Bernie Jr.'s wife Jyll handles accounts receivables and payables, as well as human resources. His daughter Niki is supervisor of pre-press, and his daughter Joy performs outside sales and customer service. Among the four, there is over 80 years of experience in printing.
